Machine Operator

Position: Machine Operator
Location: Farmington, NY

Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to support manufacturing operations in Farmington, NY. This role is responsible for operating production machinery used to manufacture high-quality weather stripping and specialty products while maintaining safety, quality, and production standards. This hands-on, temp-to-perm, opportunity is ideal for candidates with manufacturing experience who enjoy working with machinery, troubleshooting equipment, and contributing to a fast-paced production environment.

Pay Rate:

• $18.00 – $21.00/Hour
  • (+7.5% Shift Differential Once Hired On Perm, for select shifts)

Shift(s):

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Duties:

• Operate production machinery to manufacture products according to specifications and work instructions
• Complete machine setup, operation, and basic adjustments following training
• Monitor equipment performance and maintain consistent production flow
• Perform quality inspections and verify products meet required tolerances
• Complete production documentation, including downtime, scrap, and quality records
• Notify technicians or leadership of equipment issues, defects, or nonconforming products
• Assist with machine changeovers, troubleshooting, and minor repairs as needed
• Replenish raw materials and remove finished products from production areas
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
• Follow all safety procedures, standard work instructions, and plant guidelines
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and production goals
• Operate up to three machines, including performing changeovers when required
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED, or TASC preferred
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills required
• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, stooping, squatting, and stair climbing
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
• Loud production environment requiring attention to safety procedures
• Requires manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks
• Must follow all PPE and workplace safety requirements
