Location: Solon, OH
Pay: $17.50–$20.25/hour, depending on shift
Shift: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift Opportunities

Hire Sync is hiring Machine Operators to join a growing, well-established food manufacturing and packaging operation in Solon, OH. With multiple levels of machine operator opportunities available, we are looking for candidates ranging from experienced production and packaging operators to mechanically inclined individuals ready to expand their machine operating skills.

This is a hands-on role operating automated packaging equipment used to produce and package snack products distributed to major retail, food service, private-label, and airline customers. The facility utilizes modern production and packaging equipment and produces nearly half a billion packages annually.

What You’ll Do

• Set up, operate, and monitor automated packaging and production equipment
• Operate form, fill, and seal packaging machinery
• Read and follow product specifications, production schedules, and work instructions
• Stage film, cartons, labels, and other packaging materials for production runs
• Monitor machines throughout production and make necessary adjustments
• Inspect finished packages for correct product, fill weight, seal integrity, labels, printing, and overall quality
• Perform product changeovers and assist with machine setups
• Assemble cartons, package finished bags, seal cases, and prepare finished products for palletizing
• Verify case weights and properly label finished cartons and pallets
• Complete required production, quality, and machine documentation accurately
• Identify machine problems and perform basic troubleshooting and non-major maintenance when qualified
• Notify maintenance or management when equipment issues require additional attention
• Monitor production output and work to meet daily production goals
• Maintain an organized supply of packaging materials and return unused materials to inventory
• Clean and sanitize production equipment and work areas according to established procedures
• Follow GMPs, food safety, quality, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements
• Assist with training and directing other production employees as required by the position

What We’re Looking For

• Previous machine operating, manufacturing, production, or packaging experience preferred
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn machine setups, adjustments, and troubleshooting
• Strong reading comprehension and basic math skills
• Ability to read and understand measurements and product specifications
• Mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic knowledge is a plus for higher-level machine operator opportunities
• Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
• Strong attention to quality and detail
• Tow motor experience or certification is a plus and may be required for certain operator levels
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to handle packaging materials, including rolls of film weighing up to 75 lbs. for certain positions
• Ability to stand and remain active throughout the shift
• Ability to climb stairs or ladders and access equipment platforms as required
• Dependable attendance and a strong commitment to safety and quality
