What You'll Do Every Day
Must be certified/able to operate at least 2 different types of production machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
Must be trained in energy isolation LOTO and know how to safely isolate and secure the equipment they operate, service and repair.
Must be thoroughly knowledgeable of the safety maps for the equipment they operate.
In addition to all Operator 1 tasks, must be willing and capable of performing minor maintenance and servicing activities including, but not limited to:
o Inspection for equipment defects
o Lubrication
o Tightening loose fasteners
o Adjusting, realigning and replacing basic components such as stick magazine flaps, stick pushers, rails, dip head springs, stick sensors, and tray sensors.
o Diagnose the cause of common defects, jams and other downtime events, understand the adjustments/repairs that are required, and address the problems within the scope of the Operator position.
Must maintain production supplies at the prescribed levels so that the line does not shut down for lack of product.
Performs assignments in accordance with established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies and procedures.
Reads all product formulas, temperatures, and times according to Building of Materials (BOM).
Performs assignments in accordance with specifications, instructions and requirements.
Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time.
Ensures that work ethic provides a positive influence on the production floor.
Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
Follows production dress code standards and maintains good personal hygiene.
Reports all production waste to Production Lead or Supervisor.
Responsible for food safety and food quality throughout production.
Responsible for notifying a Production Lead when they step off the line to ensure food safety and food quality standards are maintained.
Understands the management of Quality Systems and is familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product(s).
Will perform other duties as required by supervisor
