Machine Operator II

DPP is seeking a Machine Operator II for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing industry.
 
Work Location: Onsite in San Diego, CA
Duration: 4 months
Terms: W2 Contract
Work Authorization: US Citizen
 
Responsibilities:

• Operates light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and equipment such as small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills or punch presses, power brakes, shears or saws.
• May set up machining machines, make adjustments and perform maintenance on machines.
• Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances.
• Some machines may be numerically controlled.
• May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Familiar with HAAS control.
• Familiar with changing and setting tool offsets.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with basic CNC machining practices.
