Job Summary:

The Machine Operator will be responsible of the equipment and ensure proper set up, start up, shut-down procedures and safe operation. The operator will play a key role in improving safety, quality, productivity, and cost on existing manufacturing processes.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor tubular steel production.

  • Set up and adjust machine tools and equipment for production runs.

  • Be able to perform basic welding to attach ends of steel coils.

  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy of finished products.

  • Perform basic math calculations to determine dimensions, tolerances, and angles.

  • Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure they meet required specifications.

  • Manage the production team of 4 people to meet daily production.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in operating CNC machines, and other milling equipment.
    Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining processes.

  • Ability to read and interpret work orders.

  • Familiarity with using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.

  • Basic math skills for performing calculations related to dimensions, tolerances, and angles.

  • Experience in fabricating and assembling components.

  • Knowledge of stationary crane operation for moving heavy materials.

  • Cut resistant gloves.

  • Uniform (pants and shirt).
