Summary
The Machine Operator performs electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and modification of electro-mechanical equipment used in packaging and manufacturing processes. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, or related environment. cGMP experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment.
- Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, instruction manuals, and drawings.
- Perform advanced electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.
- Ensure equipment operates efficiently and complete scheduled maintenance.
- Rebuild manufacturing equipment as required.
- Operate manufacturing equipment.
- Perform equipment modifications as needed.
- Diagnose equipment problems and complete necessary repairs.
- Complete maintenance tasks safely, correctly, and on time.
- Support team members with equipment-related activities as needed.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, or related industry.
- Preferred experience in a cGMP environment.
- Strong ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Ability to diagnose equipment problems and perform repairs.
- Advanced knowledge of mathematical formulas and technical handbooks.
- Ability to use a variety of precision measuring instruments.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to complete tasks safely, accurately, and on time.
- Ability to lift and/or exert up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work while bending, kneeling, sitting, and frequently standing.
- Near vision acuity with minimum 20/40 corrected vision and color vision.
