We are seeking a skilled and motivated Machine Operator to join our dynamic team in Katy, TX. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate various machines including CNC lathes, grinders, and presses.
- Perform machine setups for production runs, ensuring optimal performance and quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Utilize shop math skills to calculate dimensions and tolerances for production requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of production and machine performance using ERP software.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status and machine needs.
- Conduct quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators to ensure product specifications are met.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably as a machine operator.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and fix machine issues.
- Experience with machine setups for production runs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using shop math for measurements and calculations.
- Hands-on experience with manual grinders, manual lathes, punch presses, and CNC machines (5+ axis).
- Familiarity with ID and OD grinding machines and stamping presses.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and follow instructions accurately.
