    Pay Range: $20+/hr

    Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | Day and Swing Shifts Available

    Location: Lake Oswego, OR

    Industry: Manufacturing / Printing & Label Production


    Description

    We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Machine Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining manufacturing equipment used to produce high-quality labels and printed products while meeting production schedules and quality standards.


    The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys working with machinery, and takes pride in producing quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred, but candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Set up production equipment according to work orders and job specifications
    • Read and interpret production documents, job tickets, and work instructions
    • Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining production goals
    • Monitor machine performance throughout production runs
    • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications
    • Identify production defects and make machine adjustments as needed
    • Accurately record production data, material usage, and job completion information
    • Package finished products according to customer and company requirements
    • Maintain proper inventory and material usage throughout production
    • Communicate production concerns, equipment issues, or quality problems to supervisors promptly
    • Perform routine equipment cleaning and preventative maintenance
    • Complete required quality assurance inspections and documentation
    • Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with housekeeping standards
    • Follow all company safety procedures and quality control protocols
    • Assist with additional production or warehouse duties as assigned


    Qualifications & Skills

    • High school diploma or GED preferred
    • Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
    • Ability to learn and operate multiple types of production equipment
    • Ability to read and follow written work instructions and production documents
    • Basic math skills
    • Ability to accurately read rulers, tape measures, scales, and other measuring devices
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under production deadlines
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    • Dependable attendance and positive work ethic


    Preferred Backgrounds

    • Manufacturing or production environments
    • Printing or label manufacturing
    • Packaging or converting operations
    • Industrial machine operation
    • Warehouse or assembly production
    • Mechanical or technical production experience


    Work Environment

    • Fast-paced manufacturing facility
    • Standing and walking for extended periods throughout the shift
    • Frequent interaction with automated and mechanical production equipment
    • Team-oriented environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
    • Exposure to industrial machinery, production materials, and moderate manufacturing noise


    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, with or without mechanical assistance
    • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday
    • Ability to perform repetitive production tasks for extended periods
    • Manual dexterity for machine setup, operation, and adjustments
    • Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
    • Ability to safely work around moving machinery and production equipment
