Machine Operator

Legacy Staffing has partnered with a World-Class leading production company in Lakewood, OH to hire an experienced Machine Operator. This is a second shift (2:45 PM - 11:00 PM) opportunity with a pay rate of up to $22/hour based on experience and skill level. This role focuses on manufacturing various graphite products from graphite roll, sheet, and laminate materials while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards throughout the fabrication process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manufacture various graphite products from graphite roll, sheet, and lamanite materials
• Maintain the identification of the various lots and safely handle the materials throughout all operations
• Operate fabrication equipment such as hot rolls, measuring stands, sheeter, band saws, slitter, tape corrugators, shredder, pill press, narrow roll slitter, laminating lines, etc.
• Use scales to weigh and sort sheet materials into prescribed weight categories
• Application of adhesive to sheet material
• Utilize rulers, micrometers, and SPC recording systems (Manual and computer entry) to verify product quality
• Maintain written records required to perform job duties
• Monitor quality output and make necessary adjustments or report concerns
• Report equipment maintenance needs promptly
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Training and assistance of newly hired operators as needed
• Other tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of Machine Operating experience (applicants with less than 1 year of experience will NOT be considered for this role)
• Ability to interpret and understand written and verbal instructions
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled factory environment, including occasionally slippery floors
• Able to perform frequent lifting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping tasks throughout shift
• Manufacturing or fabrication experience is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
