Job Summary:
The Machine Operator is an entry-level role responsible for supporting manufacturing operations, including packaging, labeling, and maintaining production workflows. This position ensures smooth equipment operation while adhering to quality standards, safety procedures, and operational guidelines within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor functions of equipment and operate according to documented procedures while maintaining operational logbooks
Provide technicians with symptoms of equipment failures when required
Support material handling activities as needed
Maintain segregation of materials and lot/receiving numbers
Keep work areas clean and orderly
Adhere to company and departmental standard operating procedures, including GMP, safety, and hazard communication
Utilize written procedures and training to complete assigned tasks
Take full accountability for product quality
Report unresolved issues to supervisors or management
Maintain accurate records of work-in-process, inventory, and documentation
Ensure smooth operation of manufacturing equipment under supervision
Demonstrate progress in learning equipment and processes within the assigned area
Follow supervisor instructions while monitoring quality of raw and finished goods
Support packaging and labeling operations, including filling hoppers with empty vials
Required Experience:
Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience (mandatory)
High school diploma or GED required
Basic computer skills for training purposes
Ability to follow instructions and work within established procedures
Strong attendance, punctuality, and reliability
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong communication skills and ability to understand English for workplace safety and collaboration
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Experience in bottling or similar production environments (e.g., food and beverage or medical manufacturing)
Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments
Prior exposure to GMP standards
