Machine Operator

Black Rock Contracting is seeking a Machine Operator to join our onsite team in Louisville, KY and help drive efficient, high-quality production.

Position Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring equipment to ensure safe, consistent, and accurate production. This role supports day-to-day manufacturing operations by following established procedures, performing routine checks, and responding quickly to production needs.

You will work closely with team members and supervisors to maintain workflow, meet production targets, and uphold quality standards throughout each shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate machinery safely and efficiently in accordance with standard operating procedures and work instructions.

• Monitor equipment performance and product quality, identifying issues and taking corrective action as directed.

• Conduct routine inspections, basic maintenance support, and housekeeping to keep equipment and work areas in safe working condition.

• Complete production records and reports accurately, including downtime logs, counts, and observations.

• Collaborate with team members to maintain continuity of operations and support smooth shift handoffs.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions consistently in an industrial environment.

• Experience operating production equipment or working in a manufacturing/warehouse setting.

• Ability to perform essential job functions, including standing for extended periods, as needed for machine operation and inspection.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistent quality output.

• Clear communication skills and a reliable attendance record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multiple types of production equipment or line-based manufacturing.

• Familiarity with basic troubleshooting and interpretation of production quality checks.

• Experience completing production documentation and maintaining accurate shift records.

• Comfort working with schedules, deadlines, and changing priorities on the production floor.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $23 - $25
