Machine Operator (Direct Hire) – Day Shift
Location: Madison, NC
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire (No Temp Assignment)

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Madison, NC.
This position operates in a hot, dusty, and industrial manufacturing environment and plays a critical role in producing high-quality brick products. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating equipment in the making department, ensuring proper setup, monitoring product quality, and maintaining production standards.

Work Environment
  • Hot, dusty, and physically demanding environment
  • Exposure to moving machinery and industrial equipment
  • PPE and safety procedures required at all times
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment in the making department
  • Perform proper equipment setup and adjustments
  • Monitor green brick size, coatings, and body additives to ensure quality
  • Measure brick dimensions and maintain quality standards
  • Record and document daily production and quality data
  • Maintain required production levels and efficiency
  • Assist with machine maintenance and part replacement procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist in other departments as needed
  • Follow all safety protocols, including crane and equipment operation
Requirements
  • Ability to learn safe operation of manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to read and understand mix sheets and machine settings
  • Ability to learn machine maintenance and part replacement procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Dependable team player with strong work ethic
  • Ability to meet production goals
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to operate a forklift (license required)
  • Willingness to learn overhead crane operation
