Job Summary
DMI is seeking a dependable and motivated Machine Operator / Manufacturing Technician to support production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves operating production equipment, handling materials, monitoring processes, performing quality checks, and maintaining safe and efficient work practices.
Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience is preferred, but we are willing to train candidates with strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn.
Compensation
$20–$30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manufacturing equipment and machinery
- Load and unload parts and materials safely and efficiently
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met
- Perform routine inspections and basic quality checks
- Identify and report equipment or production issues
- Assist with machine adjustments and minor troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate production records as needed
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Follow company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, fabrication, plastics, coatings, or industrial processing
- Experience operating industrial machinery or automated equipment
- Familiarity with molding, polymer, piping, or material handling processes is a plus
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience using hand tools, measuring tools, or basic inspection equipment
- Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus
- Technical school training, trade certification, or apprenticeship experience preferred
- Experience working in a production environment with quality and safety standards
