We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented
Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will operate computer-controlled manufacturing equipment, monitor production processes, and ensure products are produced safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards.
The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and capable of troubleshooting equipment issues with minimal supervision. Experience operating machinery, performing quality checks, and using forklifts is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation & Production
Operate computer-controlled production systems and manufacturing equipment.
Set up machines at the beginning of each shift to ensure proper operation.
Input production data including specifications, settings, sizes, and speeds.
Monitor machine performance throughout the production process.
Place materials and components into semi-automated machinery.
Ensure machines are producing quality products and meeting production standards.
Troubleshoot machine and process issues as they arise.
Equipment Maintenance & Calibration
Perform equipment inspections, calibrations, and startup checks.
Conduct routine machine adjustments and recalibrations as needed.
Maintain and clean equipment before, during, and after production runs.
Support preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
Perform safety audits and equipment checks to ensure operational readiness.
Quality Control
Complete daily quality inspections and job checklists.
Conduct random product testing to verify accuracy and compliance.
Monitor production output and make adjustments as necessary.
Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Material Handling
Transport raw materials and finished goods using a forklift.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure production materials are readily available.
Track and document material usage throughout the production process.
Safety & Housekeeping
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Perform machine safety checks and identify potential hazards.
Participate in safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
Documentation
Maintain production records, activity logs, downtime reports, and equipment documentation.
Record raw material usage, samples, machine settings, and production data accurately.
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or GED.
Previous manufacturing, machine operating, or production experience.
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and follow work instructions and production documentation.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and solve problems with limited supervision.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred
Forklift experience or certification.
Experience operating automated or semi-automated production equipment.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures.
Experience with preventative maintenance and machine calibration.
