    Job Summary


    Responsibilities

    Position Overview

    Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Mix/Mill/Granulation Operator will be responsible for producing various ingredients, learning good manufacturing practices, and following standardized formulas for weighing, measuring, and mixing raw materials.

    Shift

    2nd shift: 2:00 pm - 12: 30 am Monday - Thursday, or as job responsibilities require.

    Pay

    $23.08 - $25.38/hr + 1.50 shift premium

    Functions

    • Operate all equipment and processes as outlined in the product Master Manufacturing Record (MMR), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
    • Add all batch ingredients and ensure that all formulas are correct and ingredient usage by recipe is accurate
    • Place ingredients in mixer for processing
    • Check to see if re-work should be added to batch and add accordingly
    • Monitor quality of product by performing all relevant quality control checks and collecting samples for lab testing
    • Maintain and record all required documentation (batch sheets, end shift report, ingredient lot tracking, etc.)
    • Complete all labeling and inventory movements to ensure accurate inventory control
    • Monitor machine operations and implement corrective action as needed
    • Troubleshoot machine and product related issues; communicate these issues to supervisor/lead
    • Dismantle and clean any accessories and equipment between batches while also maintaining a clean work area
    • Perform machine changeovers and sanitations
    • Perform job duties in a manner that meets company Quality and Safety standards

    Qualifications

    Education

    • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred 

    Experience

    • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
    • Experience in a food processing environment preferred
    • Experience as a machine operator preferred

    Specialized Knowledge and Skills

    • Knowledge of basic mechanical aptitude
    • Knowledge of basic math
    • Skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
