Hamilton Connections is seeking an Machine Operator for a manufacturing company in Naugatuck, CT. These are temp-to-hire positions. Monday-Friday, 8:30 – 4:30 $17-19 an hour D.O.E..
POSITION SUMMARY: 
The Secondary Machine operator is responsible for the operation of various milling, drilling and press machines to mill, bore, ream, shape, or grove piece parts to conform with quality requirements. Employee deburrs small parts to produce products free from defects.    
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Secondary Machine Operator shall be qualified on the basis of appropriate education, training and/or experience.  Minimum qualifications include High School Diploma and one year of previous experience working in a related manufacturing environment.  Understanding and reading blueprints and part specifications proficiently to meet production standards and communicate problems is essential for this role. Previous experience operating and tending secondary operation machinery preferred.        
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
-Performs milling, drilling, slotting, closing, cross drilling and deburring operations on piece parts.
-Responsible for operating various milling and press machines including, Bridgeport Miller, Barker -Miller, Air Press, Arbor Press, DSMA Machines and J&L Machines. 
-Assembles and loads parts into Brazer Machine.
-Examines and inspects part to blueprint to ensure part is free from defects and communicates all non-conformance to Supervisor.   
-Utilizes gauges and other measuring equipment to determine proper depth and distance when installing pins.  
-Adhere to all Foreign Object Debris cleaning standards in keeping parts, bins and benches free from dust particles.
-The above description covers the most significant duties performed, but does not exclude other occasional work assignments not mentioned.  
MISCELLANOUS GENERAL DUTIES:
Report any work injuries to Manufacturing Manager within the same day of the accident.  
Good attendance and punctuality are required.
Adhere to all safety rules and avoid unsafe operating conditions and situations.  
Understand Company’s policies, supporting them through his/her personal work ethic.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
 Employee is required to wear safety goggles or safety glasses with appropriate side shields, when performing job duties in all designated PPE work zone areas. 
 Wrap around impact face shields should be utilized when nipping or cutting parts to avoid eye injury.
 Safety gloves shall be worn when working with chemicals to avoid skin irritation on hands and fingers.
 The company will provide necessary PPE and training instructions on proper use and maintenance.
