Laminator Operator I - Night Shift
Pay: $21.10/hour + $2.00 shift differential ($23.10/hour effective rate)
Schedule: 5:45 PM - 6:15 AM | 12-hour continental shift (3 days one week, 4 days the next) | Off every other weekend
Job Overview
We are seeking a Laminator Operator I to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will safely operate laminating equipment, prepare adhesives, monitor product quality, and support production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for candidates with machine operator experience who are committed to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate laminating and related production equipment safely and efficiently
- Mix adhesives according to established formulas and production requirements
- Verify product quality and first-piece specifications before production runs
- Read and interpret work orders and production instructions
- Calculate and verify adhesive requirements for each job
- Change raw material rolls and monitor substrates during operation
- Maintain equipment and work areas in accordance with safety and cleanliness standards
- Handle and dispose of hazardous waste following company procedures
- Report quality, safety, food safety, and equipment concerns promptly
- Assist with machine setup, adjustments, and break coverage as needed
- Participate in audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and safety programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience measuring materials and working with chemicals
- Ability to accurately read a ruler or tape measure
- Basic math and calculation skills
- Ability to follow written instructions and production specifications
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and attendance
Preferred Qualifications
- Laminator, converting, printing, packaging, or related manufacturing experience
- Experience operating production machinery in a high-volume environment
Physical & Work Environment
- Manufacturing environment with moving machinery, chemicals, and production equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout a 12-hour shift
- Ability to work assigned night shift schedule
