Machine Operator - Nights

The company has thrived as a family business through four generations and has grown to be a market leader and best in class innovator.Position SummaryOur Machine Operators are responsible for safely operating and monitoring recycling and material processing equipment to support daily production goals. This role includes running automated machinery, performing quality checks, completing production documentation, troubleshooting minor equipment issues, and maintaining a clean and efficient work area. Operators work closely with production, maintenance, and leadership teams to ensure material quality, minimize downtime, and maintain safe operations throughout the recycling process.Schedule

Monday- Thursday, Weekends as needed.6:00pm- 6:00am

Responsibilities

Run the machine within the prescribed operating parameters while trying to achieve the machines fullest potentialMonitor machine performance and product quality with an understanding of all the machine adjustments that affect performance and quality.Perform maintenance and repairs as neededMonitor the safety and environmental controls to make sure we are operating within the prescribed parameters of our work instructionsDetect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to ensure safety and qualityPrepare and submit paperwork for production, maintenance, inventories, receiving, and others as necessaryAssist by operating small equipment to maintain operations as needed.May also sort or operate at other production machinesWork to ensure a clean and orderly work area and operate mobile equipment using safety regulations

Qualifications

Hilo experience requiredAccuracy in operation and attention to detailStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentStrong computer skills with the ability to monitor machine systemsSix months' operating small equipment experience preferred (loader, forklift, scissor lift)Equipment operation and preventative maintenance knowledge (conveyors, pulleys, etc)
