- Understand all functions of the setup and operation of the machine. Run each order properly in the order that it is given to you according to the specifications on the order.
- Direct and assist in all aspects of production including reading and interpreting work orders, setups, and packaging. Instruct your helpers how to properly skid, package, and tag your finished product and ensure that paperwork is correct. Notify a supervisor immediately if there are any problems.
- Assist the packing crew to ensure that orders are packed correctly.
- Monitor supplies used in operation of your machine and notify supervisor when anything is getting low.
- Keep work areas clean and tidy.
- Make sure bar code tags go correctly on processed material.
- If there is a quality issue, notify a supervisor immediately.
- Notify a supervisor when something needs to be repaired. It is always best to put repair requests in writing.
- Good attendance is critical to keep production moving efficiently.
- As a small company, additional duties may be assigned to ensure the plant is operating efficiently.
