Machine Operator

Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Summary of Position

Produces plastic components using a blow molding and injection molding machine, assembling parts and subassemblies to specification.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate plastic blow molding machine
• Position parts and subassemblies using templates or measurement readings
• Visually inspect parts; measure using calipers, micrometers, and other gauges
• Keep equipment operational by performing preventive maintenance, following manufacturer instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs as needed
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with company procedures, rules, and regulations
• Monitor supply inventory levels; anticipate needs; place and expedite supply orders; verify receipt
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently
• Complete required documentation and record results
• Pack finished pieces into boxes

General Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in plastics manufacturing (blow molding or injection molding) required
• Ability to read and use calipers
• Familiarity with controls and instrumentation
• General manufacturing experience
• Strong safety management awareness
• Quality-focused with sound judgment
