This role is on-site at The Orchard, our Pacific Northwest workplace in Poulsbo, Washington.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follows all PPE and safety rules and regulations as set by Watson including affected lock out tag out procedures

  • Set up the machine to start production cycle which includes calibration and cleaning as needed

  • Daily preventative maintenance

  • Control and adjust machine settings according to the product specifications

  • Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines

  • Inspect parts with precision and accurate measuring

  • Test the operation of machines as needed

  • Meets productivity expectations as assigned by production leadership

  • All other responsibilities within reason as assigned by production leadership

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

  • How to fix machine issues that occur during your shift

  • How to spot quality issues and identify machine-related mistakes utilizing the VQS tools

  • How to maintain activity logs and records of machine operations

  • How to work in a required sequence to ensure alignment of the production schedule

  • How to use calipers and tape measures to inspect dimensional accuracy

  • All other procedures and policies as assigned by production leadership

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Someone who operates with a high degree of kindness, humility, and respect for others.

  • Is punctual and ready to work at their station at the assigned time

  • Flexible to a changing and ever evolving production environment

  • Has a good attitude

  • Someone with at least one year of experience operating a machine in a wood or steel fabrication shop

  • Someone who holds themselves and others to high safety standards

  • Someone who can routinely lift up to 50lbs.

  • Someone with machine programming skills is not required, but could be utilized

  • Someone who supports and engages with all continuous improvement (WPS) activities including problem solving and visual management

Wage and Compensation

This role can expect to earn $19.65-$21.55 per hour.
