Central Plains Steel, a division of Feralloy, is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to operate press brake equipment and produce precision metal parts while supporting overall plant operations.
Physical Requirements: Stand or Sit(Stationary position), Walk(Move, Traverse), Use hand/fingers to handle or feel (Operate, Activate, Use, Prepare, Inspect, Place, Detect, Position), Climb (stairs/ladders) or balance (Ascend/Descend, Work atop, Traverse), Stoop, kneel, crouch, or Crawl(Position self(to), Move), Talk/hear(Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information), See (Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess), Pushing or Pulling, Reaching Function in the Job: Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Job Function:
- Operate press brake machines to bend and form metal parts to specifications
- Read blueprints, work orders, and instructions to ensure accuracy
- Set up materials, tooling, and machine settings
- Inspect parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Perform in-process and final quality checks
- Make adjustments and troubleshoot minor machine issues
- Move materials using forklifts or cranes and assist with general shop duties
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Required Skills:
- Valid driver’s license
- 0–5 years of relevant experience (press brake or manufacturing preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay: $17–$20/hr (DOE)

Preferred:
- Press brake or metal fabrication experience
- High School Diploma or GED
