- Machines production parts by operating equipment such as brushing, lapping, rolling, drilling, chamfering, and grinding machines using existing setups and/or fixtures. Starts and stops machines as required to maintain quality, safety, and production
- Uses quality control gauges and typical measuring tools such as dial calipers, outside and depth micrometers, to monitor production parts for conformance to
- Inspects own work-in-process with accepted Submits parts to in-process inspection in accord with accepted procedures.
- Under routine supervision makes minor adjustments necessary to maintain quality of production
- Maintains proper lubrication and fluid levels to insure safe and efficient machine Removes scrap metal from machines necessary to maintain safe and efficient machine operation
- Reports equipment or tooling malfunction to lead person
