Machine Operator I

What You'll Be Doing:
As a Machine Operator I, you'll play an important role in producing high-quality precision metal components while supporting a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or grow a career in manufacturing. You'll learn to operate a variety of production equipment, monitor quality, and work alongside an experienced team to ensure customer expectations are met.
A Day in the Life:
- Operate a variety of production machines, including countersink, ream, tap, deburr, tumble, oil, wash, flattener, and shaker equipment
- Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet quality and specification requirements
- Notify your supervisor immediately if production or quality issues arise
- Perform visual inspections to verify finished parts meet customer specifications
- Keep machines and work areas clean and organized after each completed operation
- Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing best practices
- Work collaboratively with teammates to meet production schedules and customer deadlines
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills & Experience:
- Ability to learn and safely operate various production machines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and understand work instructions written in English
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet production goals
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0–1 years of metal fabrication or manufacturing experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to frequently use hands and arms for operating equipment and handling materials
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Visual acuity for close work, depth perception, and quality inspection
