What You Will Do

The Machine Operator is responsible for operation of machines used for all machined product runs. Determines materials needed for each product and sets up machines according to specifications. Responsible for correct maintenance and cleanliness of machines.

This is a Swing Shift position working Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm to 1:30am.

  • Follow Employee guidelines and Quality System Regulations as defined by Nissha Medical Technologies practices, policies and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that customer requirements and industry standards and regulations are met.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and act in accordance with NMT's Employee Guidelines and applicable quality standards as outlined in NMT's Quality Manual.
  • Set up machine according to the instruction sheet and Bill of Material for the specific product.
  • Maintain machines according to required amounts for each order.
  • Reload materials as necessary.
  • Check registration to ensure conformity.
  • Accurately complete traveler and all other associated documentation for each product.
  • Ensure product quality and maintain low scrap rates.
  • Verify accuracy of pouch against written specifications.
  • Follow all Quality Control procedures.
  • Move product to the appropriate next stage of production.
  • Work with Engineering to accomplish spacing on machine layout.
  • Responsible for machine cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Responsible for minor repairs.
  • Regular attendance.
  • Abide by all safety and security rules set by the company and regulatory agencies.

What You Bring

Core Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude required
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • Experience reading and understanding regulations, standards, drawings and procedures.
  • Mathematical skills needed to count products
  • Good eye to hand coordination required
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience operating and maintaining manufacturing machines is strongly preferred

Compensation & Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hour. A Swing Shift Differential of $0.50/hour will be paid for all hours worked between 3:00pm and 1:30am. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
