Machine Operator: Secondary/Grinding (all shifts)

 

 

 

 

Operates a wide variety of secondary equipment with some guidance from others. Responsibilities generally limited to loading/unloading work pieces and some quality assurance processes of checking production pieces for compliance using simple gages. Generally, requires a year's experience in previous factory/manufacturing work to reach this level, mechanical aptitude and interest also apply.

 

 

- ranging from 1/2 lb. to 9.8#.

- Check machine for safety and review start of operation.
- Review set up of part checks before operation starts.
- Ability to sit or stand.

 

- Push part through the machine for production.

- Deburr the part and remove any imperfections associated with the part. 
- Review for quality control.
- Stack each part <9.8# on to skid in boxes for tech to move.

 

 

- Clean any oils or sharp small pieces on the machine.
- Wipe down the machine daily. 

- Sweep up any loose jagged pieces, disposing of pieces for next day operation.
