Main Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Experience in running machines with touch screens (HMI’s). 
  • Able to start, stop and adjust machines. 
  • Ability to clean and keep machine and work area organized. 
  • Likes to work with hand tools. 
  • Able to disassemble and reassemble machines. 
  • Has mechanical & technical aptitude. 
  • Handles machine parts with care. 
  • Comfortable working in team environment and supporting team activities. 
  • Experience in continuous improvement, especially with machine change-overs. 
  • Comfortable asking questions when unclear on process or expectations. 
  • Willing to learn and help other team members learn. 
  • Quality and execution driven. 
  • Ability to follow all forms of instructions and directions, particularly work orders, safety, and company policies.
  • Accountable for the quality of the product made.
  • Verifies that proper documentation is completed accurately, timely, and properly filed.
  • Recommended experience with encapsulation, mixing, blending machines and metal detectors. 
  • All other duties as assigned and needed to lead weighing operations.

Requirements 

  • Able to comprehend and act on detail written work instruction.
  • Must follow all directions, SOP’s and cGMP requirements, etc.
  • Must be able to understand gram and kilo scales.
  • Comfortable around chemicals and able to Must wear PPE (personnel protective equipment) as needed.
  • Able to work around all types of allergens. 
  • Must be willing to work overtime as necessary.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all Solids of measure.
  • Able to lift 30 pounds repeatedly, 50 pounds frequently and 75 + pounds with assistance, on a daily basis.
  • Ability to lift, twist, crawl, reach, grab, bend, stoop, climb, or perform similar activities as needed and stand for long periods.
  • Must be able to understand, speak, read and write in English in order to perform the essential functions of the job as they relate to comprehension of laws, regulations, standards, documents and other internal and external communications.

Work Conditions 

  • Subject to normal warehouse and production environment.
  • Subject to high noise levels where hearing protection is required.
  • Subject to atmospheric conditions, such as fumes from the machines, odors, powders, dust and other particles.
