POSITION SUMMARY:
- The Machine Operator is responsible to assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts by operating mechanical equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs typical machine shop and press operations.
- Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: read blueprints, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows all safety regulations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Works primarily in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with regular exposure to dust, odors, oil, and fumes with moderate noise. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility.
- Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, and reaching
- PPE required may include safety glasses and gloves in designated areas of the facility.
