Machine Operator
Pay: $25.00-$26.00/hour
Location: Chanhassen, MN 55317
Duration: 5 month contract
3rd Shift
Overview
Operate production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while ensuring product quality, maintaining production efficiency, and following established safety and quality standards. This role involves machine operation, basic troubleshooting, quality inspections, documentation, and supporting production, packaging, and shipping activities.
Key Responsibilities
Operate production machinery while monitoring equipment performance and product quality.
Perform basic machine adjustments and minor troubleshooting using hand tools.
Conduct quality inspections of raw materials and finished products.
Support production, packaging, mailing, and shipment preparation.
Review work orders and production specifications to ensure customer requirements are met.
Complete production logs, inventory transactions, quality records, and other required documentation.
Maintain equipment and report operational issues when necessary.
Stock raw materials and prepare production lines for operation.
Shred secure destruction materials as required.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including routine housekeeping.
Communicate production status and machine updates during shift handoffs.
Provide machine coverage for team members during breaks and lunches.
Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience operating production equipment preferred.
IT experience is a plus.
Knowledge of basic hand tools.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic math skills.
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Ability to troubleshoot routine machine issues.
Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Reliable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
