As a Web Press Operator Trainee, you'll learn to operate high-volume printing presses that produce colorful, high-quality business forms. You'll work closely with experienced team members to develop your skills in machine operation, quality control, and maintenance.
What Youll DoAs a Web Press Operator Trainee, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the setup and operation of multi-color printing presses
- Reading job tickets to understand specific printing requirements
- Confirming stock availability and preparing inks and chemicals
- Monitoring press operations and making minor adjustments as needed
- Performing routine cleaning and small maintenance tasks
- Ensuring product quality through self-inspection and adjustments
- Logging production data and tracking job progress accurately
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
What Youll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in machinery
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Previous experience with mechanical systems or hobbies related to mechanics is a plus
