As a 1st Shift Web Press Operator Trainee, you'll learn to operate multi-color business forms presses while supporting quality, safety, and on-time production. You'll work closely with the shift leader and production team to deliver results that make a difference.
What You'll Do
As a 1st Shift Web Press Operator Trainee, you will be responsible for:
- Learn to read job tickets, confirm details, and follow layout instructions
- Help set up the press (plates, feeder/delivery units) and prepare materials/stock
- Assist with inking, mixing solutions, and monitoring ink/water levels during runs
- Perform quality checks, make adjustments, and keep production moving smoothly
- Complete cleanup, basic maintenance, housekeeping, and barcode/job tracking
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Strong mechanical aptitude (work experience or hobbies that show youre hands-on)
- Great attention to detail and a commitment to doing things the right way
- Ability to work safely around machinery and follow written instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout the shift in a production setting
