Job Title: Machine Operator Trainee

Location: Porter, IN

Schedule: Second Shift M-F 3:00 pm-11:30 pm

Employment Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Machine Operator Trainee to join a well-established manufacturing team in Porter, IN. No prior machine operation experience is required—just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the setup, operation, and monitoring of production machinery
• Learn proper machine operation procedures under the guidance of senior operators
• Perform basic adjustments and quality checks during production runs
• Ensure products meet quality and safety standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and production protocols
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding workflow, issues, or improvements

Qualifications:

• Previous manufacturing or production experience is helpful but not required
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn new skills
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow detailed instructions
• Must be able to pass required pre-employment screenings
