Machine Operator – VB8

Location: Lake County, OH
Shift Available: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift
Pay: Starting at $20.00-$22.00/hour (based on shift and experience)

We're seeking dependable, mechanically inclined Machine Operators to join a growing precision manufacturing team. If you enjoy working with machinery, making quality parts, and being part of a company that values safety and teamwork, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

No two days are exactly alike as you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring production equipment while ensuring quality standards are met.

What You'll Do

  • Set up and operate production machinery.
  • Install and adjust tooling using setup sheets.
  • Make machine adjustments to maintain quality and keep parts within tolerance.
  • Perform quality inspections throughout the production process.
  • Read and follow work instructions and quality procedures.
  • Use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and comparators.
  • Change tooling as needed.
  • Load and unload materials.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and keep equipment clean.
  • Remove burrs and chips from finished parts.
  • Deliver completed parts for quality inspection.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • Comfortable using computers for production documentation.
  • Strong work ethic with excellent attendance and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand for up to 6 hours during a shift.
  • Lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Perform repetitive hand movements and machine adjustments.
  • Walk throughout the production facility as needed.
  • Ability to distinguish quality defects through visual inspection.
