Position Overview
The Youth Apprentice - Machine Operator will learn foundational manufacturing skills while working alongside experienced operators in a production environment. This role supports machine setup, basic operation, quality checks, and routine maintenance tasks under direct supervision. The apprenticeship is designed to build hands-on technical knowledge, workplace readiness, and exposure to career pathways in manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Set an example to co-workers by always practicing safe work habits. Assure work areas are free from hazards that could cause injury or accidents. Report any unsafe conditions to the Plant Manager.Maintain a positive, cooperative attitude towards customers, co-workers, subordinates, and management. Support, encourage, and participate in quality improvement projects in order that department activities meet or exceed customer and company quality, service, and performance needs and expectations. Maintain a good attendance/punctuality record. Perform job with established standards. Offer suggestions to solve problems. Additional duties may be assigned by management.
Qualifications
Enrolled in an approved Youth Apprenticeship program.
