Responsibilities for Press Assistants:

Assists the Press Operator: set up materials, printing press feed, printing units with ink and other supplies and logistics activities.Maintains job information in ERP system.Assures quality - realizes specifications of printing job.Performs daily maintenance and preventive maintenance and cleaning of printing press to ensure a clean working environment.Operates a transporter pallet, operates interface of the printing press and Cutstar control panel.Understands Risk and Safety and Hazard and precaution Statements.

Responsibilities for Finishing Operators:

Continuously checks for print and seam quality.Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per the specification.Utilizes a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedure (tools are used at other times as necessary).Handles rolls and palletizes them accordingly as to not cause damage to them.Must understand basic printing and seam related defects.Recording and entering data on designated paperwork as well as in the company operation system (Globetek).Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Work SAFELY- Comply with all company and safety policies and proceduresBe DEPENDABLE- regular and predictable attendance and work overtime when requiredBe a TEAM PLAYER- ability to assist others with machine set‐up, run, and clean upBe CARING- respect others and communicate openlyStrong Communication, organization and prioritization skillsHigh School Diploma or GED Equivalent requiredAbility to work in the US without company sponsorship requiredStrong proficiency in the use of computer systemsAbility to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency for on‐time completion of assigned activitiesQuality conscious and customer focusedSelf-directed individual with outstanding decision making and problem-solving skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Software including Outlook and have the ability to learn company specialized software programAbility to add and subtract, multiply and divide to figure label counts and conversionsAbility to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distanceMust be able to lift 20lbs on a frequent basis and 50lbs on an occasional basisSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
