Operate press brakes and other fabrication equipment — including CNC laser cutters, stamping presses, and related machinery — to shape sheet metal components according to technical drawings and specifications
Set up tooling and fixtures accurately to ensure precise cuts and bends in sheet metal fabrication
Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to guide setup and production
Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and adherence to specifications
Follow proper safety procedures when operating machinery and handling hand tools and other equipment
Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance
Assist with troubleshooting machine issues to minimize downtime
Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency operating manufacturing machinery such as press brakes, CNC equipment, plasma cutters, welding equipment, and EDM (electrical discharge machining) tools
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to accurately interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Experience with CNC programming and setup for precision machining tasks
Experience with Hurco or LVD controls a plus
Solid understanding of safety standards in production environments
Ability to perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other quality inspection tools
Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques, including tooling setup and assembly
Basic math skills for measurements, machining tolerances, and process adjustments
