We are looking for machine operators for our valued-client in the Shelby Twp. area.
Hours are:
Monday through Thursday 6AM to 4:30PM (10 hours)
$16 to $16.50/hr.
Job Purpose:
Adhere to company policy and procedures and acts as a role model within the company.
Performs duties as workload necessitates and maintains a positive and respectful attitude.
Communicate regularly with Quality and Supervisors about production issues.
Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
Consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of position.
Meets production productivity standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Arrive at your workstation ten minutes prior to shift change to communicate machine performance, quality issues, and review
standard operating procedures. Ensure operator work station at press is properly set up.
Operate an injection molding machine(s) and/or assembly equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Review stated quality requirements in the Blue Book Manual daily for each machine ran or relieved. Operator instructions, quality
alerts, packaging instructions, quality inspection instructions must be read line by line to ensure thorough understanding of
procedures as well as part defect history.
Verify that the scale is properly set for the part produced, detailed in the packing Conduct visual inspection to finished product
and can detect defective and/or damage.
Inspect parts produced in accordance with standard operating procedures and by the comparison of parts to visual aids provided.
Package product using care to prevent contamination and/or damage, package parts in accordance with packaging and Label
instruction.
Count and record scrap parts as well as good parts produced on the "Operator Production Data" sheet throughout the shift.
Communicate excessive scrap and defective production to a Quality Inspector and/or Shift Supervisor throughout the shift.
Maintain press collection bins throughout shift to ensure acceptable inspection levels.
Be able to use grinders correctly and safely.
Perform 5S activities per the set schedule.
Assist or replace other team members as needed to ensure production schedule is maintained.
Perform other tasks per Shift Supervisor and/or management's request.
Adherence to all MIOSHA safety requirements.

Qualifications, Experience, Education and Licenses
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Proficiency in understanding basic instructions and memos.
Strong communication aptitude, enabling effective interaction with colleagues and immediate supervisor.
Competence in performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers.
Application of practical judgment and critical thinking capabilities for resolving challenges and being able to execute detailed
written or spoken directives.
Recognition of appropriate safety protocols.
