As a Machine Operator, you'll play a key role in our manufacturing process. You'll ensure machinery runs smoothly, parts meet quality standards, and safety protocols are strictly followed. Hours:- 07:30 AM 04:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Pay:Key Responsibilities:- Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety policies and procedures, reporting unsafe conditions, and ensuring quality standards are met
- Install and align shear or razor blades for slitting feedstock materials
- Start the machine, adjust blades and controls using tools like wrenches, rulers, gauges, and templates, and monitor operation
- Test and adjust machine settings according to specifications
- Select, clean, and install spacers, lay-on bars, sleeves, and blades for machine setup in compliance with standards
- Read production schedules and customer specifications to determine equipment setup or adjustments
- Thread feedstock from reel through the slitter and secure on the rewinder
- Observe machine operation and inspect rolls for defects such as holes, surface issues, or warping
- Measure roll dimensions using tape measures, gauges, templates, rulers, and squares to ensure conformance
Minimum Requirements:- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred
- Ability to work quickly and multitask
- Capable of reading production tickets and performing math calculations, including fractions
- Ability to read tape measures and micrometers
- Computer literate
- Able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stretch, or stand for extended periods
Nice to Have Skills: - Mechanical aptitude and experience with machine adjustments
- Familiarity with safety procedures and practices in manufacturing
Preferred Education and Experience:- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience operating similar machinery
Other Requirements:- Must be willing to work on-site
- Ability to work in other departments or areas and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
