Timken Distribution Center is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Machine Packaging Operator for its facility located in Duncan, SC. Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm, plus overtime as required. A successful warehouse employee values safety, accuracy, productivity, and customer service.

Purpose and Scope
Use packaging machines to package cups, cones, and assemblies, up to 6 inches in diameter, into cartons of various sizes and styles imprinted with a wide variety of part numbers, bar codes, and other information required by the customer.
Responsibilities
Gather necessary supplies and verify quality prior to use, including fitness of cartons/boxes to support product weight.
Verify product quantity and inspect for correct part numbers or any visual defects prior to packaging. If errors are found, take appropriate action to restore accuracy.
Stage product in feeding area, replenishing or hand-feeding as necessary. Consistent speed is critical to avoid product damage.
Set up, change over and perform troubleshooting on all packaging equipment.
Use technology such as computers or handheld RF Scanners to verify packaging requirements and perform systematic order processing functions.
Remove packaged bearings from exit conveyor and perform final visual inspection of all components.
Pack individual cartons, sleeves or tubes into shipping containers and use conveyor system to routeto next stage in shipping process.
Communicate with other work areas in order to resolve problems that may arise.
Perform other miscellaneous duties such as filling out standard forms and keeping work area clean and orderly.
