Pay Rate:
- Level 2: $61.10/hr
- Level 3: $74.65/hr

This role sits within Operations, supporting manufacturing, supply chain, and mission-critical programs. Youll play a hands-on role in producing high-quality hardware that directly contributes to spaceflight systems.
What Youll Do
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and manual shop equipment (mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, etc.)
- Work with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machining processes
- Select tooling, fixtures, and work-holding; load and secure raw materials
- Program CNC equipment using drawings, models, and process instructions
- Operate waterjet and other cutting equipment for rough cutting and profiling
- Perform deburring, fitting, cleaning, rework, and basic assembly
- Inspect parts using standard metrology tools to ensure compliance with engineering specifications
- Support prototype, test, and production machining efforts
- Maintain shop organization and adhere to 5S and safety standards
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and assist with troubleshooting
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet quality, cost, and schedule goals
- Help document and standardize machining processes
What Were Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience
- Strong experience with CNC mills and/or lathes (multi-axis preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including basic GD&T
- Experience with manual machining and general shop equipment
- Solid understanding of shop safety practices, including PPE and lockout/tagout
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-precision environment
Preferred Experience
- CNC programming (conversational and/or CAM)
- Advanced setup skills, including fixture design and tool selection
- Experience with waterjet or similar CNC cutting equipment
- Experience machining exotic materials, ceramics, or delicate components
Scheduling Requirements
- Primarily A Shift
- Must be open to working B Shift (2:00 PM 10:00 PM) approximately 12 times per month
