ROLE IMPACT
Join a growing manufacturing team where you'll play an important role in keeping production running efficiently and safely. As a Machine Shop Assistant, you will support CNC operators and the machine shop team by preparing materials, maintaining an organized work environment, assisting with shipping and receiving, and helping ensure quality standards are met.
KEY DUTIES
• Sand, sandblast, deburr, clean, and prepare machined parts for packaging and shipment.
• Receive, package, and ship products while processing work orders accurately.
• Assist with inventory management of parts, materials, and shop supplies.
• Support CNC operators by loading and unloading materials, measuring and inspecting parts, and maintaining tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by cleaning machines, sweeping floors, disposing of scrap materials, and following all safety procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic computer skills with strong organization and communication abilities.
• Manufacturing, machine shop, warehouse, or industrial experience is preferred.
EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Work in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility with exposure to moderate noise and manufacturing equipment.
• Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs regularly, 35 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Safety glasses and steel-toe boots are required. Additional PPE will be provided as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies and quality standards while working with machinery and production materials.
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Experience supporting CNC machining or manufacturing operations.
• Shipping, receiving, and inventory experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
