Machine Shop Helper

A contract manufacturing machine shop serving the oil & gas industry is seeking a Shop Helper to join the team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity in a machine shop environment, and the company is willing to train. The Shop Helper is responsible for shop cleaning, housekeeping, packaging, and general support of daily shop operations.

Salary + Additional Benefits:

• $15–$17/hr (DOE)

Location: Houston, TX 77041
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; overtime available as workload permits

Responsibilities:

• Clean the shop and perform general housekeeping.
• Clean shavings from machines and work areas.
• Apply coolant and oil to shop machinery.
• Help package parts and products.
• Operate a forklift as needed.
• Handle materials up to 50 lbs.

Requirements:

• Forklift experience
• Ability to handle up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to work in a machine shop environment
• Availability for overtime as needed
