2nd Shift Machine Shop Lead (Working Lead)
Location: Waukesha County, WI Shift: 2nd Shift 2pm-10pm

Are you a hands-on machining professional who enjoys leading by example? One of our longstanding manufacturing clients is seeking a 2nd Shift Machine Shop Lead to help oversee daily operations while remaining actively involved on the shop floor.
This is a working lead position, not a desk job. The right candidate will bring strong machining knowledge, the ability to support and develop team members, and a commitment to safety, quality, and production goals.
What You'll Do:
Lead and support machine shop employees on 2nd shift
Serve as a technical resource for setup, machining, and troubleshooting
Help coordinate daily workflow and priorities to meet production schedules
Monitor quality standards and promote continuous improvement
Train and mentor team members as needed
Partner with management to drive safety, productivity, and teamwork
Remain hands-on in machining operations and assist where needed
What We're Looking For:
Previous machine shop leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred
Strong machining background in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing documentation
Experience with CNC machining operations
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
A team-oriented leader who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and working alongside the crew

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
