Machine Shop Lead

Cornell Pump Company is looking for a hands-on Machine Shop Lead to guide our 2nd shift team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced CNC machinist who's ready to take ownership of operations, support a skilled team, and make a real impact on production, quality,and workflow.

Location: Clackamas, OR

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Swing shift 2:30pm to 11pm

Hourly Pay: $38.00 to $41.00 (+$1 Shift Differential)

Lead your own shift with real autonomy and support

Work with a well-equipped shop (Haas, Mazak, Fanuc-controlled machines)

Lead and support a team of machinists and operators on swing shift

Keep production on track while maintaining high quality standards

Set up, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC mills and lathes

Train and mentor team members on best practices

Ensure parts meet specs through inspections and in-process checks

Promote a safe, organized, and efficient shop environment

Coordinate with day shift to ensure smooth handoffs

Address downtime issues and partner with maintenance as needed

5+ years of machining experience (CNC preferred)

1–2+ years in a lead or leadership role

Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and G/M code

Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools

Experience with CNC setup and troubleshooting

Bonus if you have experience with: Haas mills, Mazak horizontal mills, or Fanuc-controlled lathes
