PacAero's core businesses include an array of electronic connectors and housings for the world's most extreme environments. PacAero is primarily located in Wenatchee, WA with a remote manufacturing site, Bonded Metals, located in Sequim, WA. Working together, we employ proprietary technologies, best practices engineering, and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the world's most extreme environments. PacAero's products are hard at work in medical components, such as cardiac-function devices, on key aerospace & defense programs, in space and deep below the earth's surface.
The Position:
Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating and maintaining efficient daily scheduling operations within the machine shop. This role involves attending daily meetings with supervisors and managers to align priorities, updating production boards, and managing accurate scheduling data including EFDs. Collaborates closely with IPTs, leads, and production personnel to address scheduling concerns, prioritize workloads, and ensure timely completion of jobs. Prepares detailed shift plans and dispatch lists based on priority codes, skill levels, and production needs. Additionally manages vendor relationships, overlooks consumable stock levels, and handles purchasing activities including requisitions, purchase orders, quotes, and payment verification to support seamless shop operations.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5am to 1:30pm

Machine Shop Logistics Specialist Responsibilities
- Attend daily scheduling meeting with supervisor and manager.
- Keep information up to date on white board daily.
- Look ahead at the PTO calendar so we can fill voids in past due work centers or to cover hot jobs.
- Add accurate EFD's daily.
- Assist IPT's with scheduling questions or concerns.
- Follow priority codes and scheduling dates to create dispatch list for all machines in the shop daily.
- Identifying and escalating any scheduling issues to your supervisor/manager.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with leads or manager/supervisor and other production personnel with scheduling needs or concerns.
- Efficient at splitting work orders, moving jobs from one work center to another, using plan chart, removing set-up times, and requesting changes.
- Write up and send a detailed plan for all off shifts to follow based on priorities, start dates, and skill levels.
- Look ahead to understand what jobs are coming so we can prepare our team effectively.
- Send job priority list to tool room for setups.
- Maintain a good relationship with all vendors.
- Manage auto-cribs and stock levels of all consumable goods.
- Create and send purchasing requisitions, purchasing order, capex forms, and pack slip.
- Work with accounts payable to verify accuracy of all purchases for machine shop.
- Request and follow up on quotes and purchases with vendors.

Education/Previous Experience Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
Work Environment
- Noise: The machine shop can often be a loud environment with constant noise from equipment requiring mandatory hearing protection.
- Safety hazards: Logistics Specialist can be exposed to inherent risks from powerful, high-speed equipment, including moving parts and sharp tools. Safety protocols are critical to prevent injuries.
- Contaminants: The work involves exposure to airborne particles like metal dust, coolant mist, and chemical fumes, necessitating adequate ventilation and protective measures to minimize health risks when on the shop floor.
- Protective gear: Personal protective equipment (PPE) is a requirement for safety. This includes safety glasses and hearing protection on the shop floor.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing/Sitting: Logistics Specialist can spend long hours on their feet or sitting at a computer.
- Lifting: The job can require lifting and moving heavy parts or raw materials. Some roles may involve moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds when on the shop floor.
- Manual dexterity: Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are necessary for manipulating tools, setting up machines, and performing precise measurements.
- Repetitive motion: Many tasks, such as loading and unloading workpieces, deburring parts, inspecting parts, are repetitive and can potentially lead to musculoskeletal issues over time.
- Precision and vision: Logistics Specialist must have excellent close-up vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish colors.
- Stamina: Physical stamina is required for the duration of a shift to perform all duties of the job.

Salary Description
$25 - $35/hr DOE
