    Job Description:

    Central Virginia Community College is located in Lynchburg, Virginia, in view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. CVCC is a comprehensive two-year institution of higher education with an enrollment of approximately 5,000 students in occupational/technical programs and university-parallel/college transfer programs.

    Machine Tool & Quality: CMM Programming-Evening Adjunct

    Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom, laboratory, and online environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences.

    Employees must be able to work strategically with diverse colleagues, students, and community members with a commitment to diversity as a learning outcome to be culturally respectful, professionally competent, and civically responsible.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Experience in CMM programming.

    Must be knowledgeable in building and qualifying multiple probes.

    Must have expertise in the inner workings or different probe types (Touch probes, sweep probes, and laser, etc.) and how to build and calibrate the probe heads.

    Must be knowledgeable with different CMM software types such as PC-Dmis, Modus, Camio, and CMES.

    Must be able to read and understand CMM coding such as .DMI and .PRG languages.

    Must have extensive knowledge in GD&T.

    Must have knowledge of CAD software and how to integrate CAD models into CMM software.

    Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software including but not limited to : Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.

    Must be willing to teach evenings
