Machinery Controls System Technician
The Machinery Control Systems Technician will provide engineering support, testing, training, and installation of software upgrades for LSD Machinery Control Systems to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division. Responsibilities are included but not limited to:
• Provide distance and on-site LSD MCS Fleet Technical Support • Modify, implement and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs • Support shipboard test procedure development and implementation • Provide On-The-Job-Training (OJT) and MCS Software Refresher Training • Perform MCS grooms and assessments such as Pre-Installation Check-Outs (PICOs) and C5RA aboard LSD class ships • Perform shipboard software upgrades during shipboard alterations of applicable LSD Class Ship Change Documents (SCDs) • Review and provide updates of all LSD class MCS Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) products, including technical manuals, Preventative Maintenance Systems products, and Allowance Parts Lists (APLs)
Qualifications/Requirements
Candidates for this position must possess the following professional experience and qualifications:
• Prior naval experience on integrated Logistics System information and control systems • Amphibious ship classes (LSD, LHD/LHA) is preferred • Must be a US Citizen with a Secret Security Clearance or able to obtain one • High School Diploma or equivalent, a engineering degree is preferred
Target Experience: Three (3) years of relevant machinery controls work
The contractor shall be proficient in reading and understanding complex electromechanical engineering drawings/blueprints. Effective communicator (oral and written).
Pay & Benefits
Salary: $60,000-$75,000 based on experience
