Job Overview

Sparta Networking is seeking a Machinery Designer to support shipbuilding programs in Pascagoula, Mississippi. You will design shipboard machinery systems and produce the drawings and 3D models that bring them to life.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, CAD-fluent, and comfortable working closely with engineering and production.

Responsibilities

• Develop machinery arrangement drawings and 3D models in CAD
• Apply design standards, tolerances, and shipbuilding specifications
• Coordinate with engineering and production to resolve design issues
• Check and revise drawings through review cycles
• Maintain accurate documentation and design records

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor degree in design, drafting, or engineering (or equivalent experience)
• CAD and 3D modeling proficiency
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• U.S. citizenship required (some roles may require clearance)
