Machining Lead

Position Summary \n \nOur Quick Coupling Division is looking for new Machining Lead to help keep the world moving. This role supports the Supervisor in daily machining operations by directing team activities, coordinating production execution, supporting manpower and overtime adjustments, reporting production attainment shortfalls, and operating equipment as business needs arise. The Machining Lead ensures safety and quality compliance, supports incident and non-conformance investigations, trains team members on machining operations, documentation, Team Improvement Boards, and daily processes, maintains the Training Matrix, develops and sustains standardized work, performs audits, and drives continuous improvement using structured problem-solving tools.\n \nWhat Is a Quick Coupling?\n \nParker Hannifin is a Fortune 250 global leader in motion and control technologies and systems with $19.9B in revenue in 2025. Parker's Quick Coupling Division is the largest manufacturer of quick couplings in the world. A quick coupling is used to provide a fast, make-or-break connection of fluid or gas transfer lines. Our plants provide critical equipment for many different industries including Agriculture, Construction, and Data Processing.\n \nResponsibilities \n\n Assist the Supervisor in providing support and direction with daily operations.\n Train team members on machining operations and documentation (ie. Set-ups, day-by-the-hour, etc.).\n Maintain the current copy of the Training Matrix for all team members.\n Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using problem solving tools, such as the A3 and 3 legged 5 why tools.\n Ensure quality standards are met and investigate non-conformances.\n Develop and deploy standardized work\n Promote and enforce compliance of safety policies and procedures. \n Assist with safety incident investigations.\n Advocate and support the Corporate WIN Strategy\n Assist Supervisors with employee reviews\n Report out daily on any production attainment shortfalls.\n Understand, interpret and train team members on the usage of Team Improvement Boards.\n Perform daily/weekly standard work audits within each cell.\n Assist Supervisor in adjusting manpower requirements to accommodate unscheduled absences of team member, including overtime requirements. \n Lead team improvement activities with support from supervisor and plant management.\n Assist supervisor in other administrative tasks as required.\n Serve as the Liaison between Machinist, Secondary Ops and Assemblers to Engineering, Maintenance, Production Planning and other support personnel.\n Serve as the Go-To Person for Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery Issues throughout the operation.\n Will run equipment as business needs arise\n \nPhysical Requirements:\n\n Continuously lifting and moving very light weight material (1-5 lbs).\n Frequently lifting and moving average weight material (5-50 lbs).\n Occasional lifting and moving heavy weight material up to (50 lbs. +) with assistance.\n \nThe essential functions have been provided as example of the type of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification.
