Machining Operator Production
Scope of Responsibilities
Set-up, operate and adjust fabrication production equipment including Operating CNC lathes, mills & drill presses in the Starter area.
Must be able to use precision measuring instruments such as dial caliper, indicator, micrometer and meters.
Ensure all production is of the highest quality and to specifications.
Explain simple procedures, methods, rules to others, such as use of simple tools, locations of supplies, materials, general operation of equipment, etc.
Attentive to safety conditions of each step involved in performing the job to ensure safe operation of equipment.
Perform basic preventative maintenance activities on production or other types of equipment. i.e. lubricating, cleaning, sharpening, spare tooling inventory, etc.
Housekeeping keeps area neat, clean and in order.
Requirements
Product knowledge, production experience and basic mechanical abilities. Experience with CNC equipment a plus.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, machine drawings, schematics, control plans, SPC charts, etc.
Ability to use computers to change programs, data entry, etc. to prepare equipment for process.
Must be able to obtain a fork truck license.
Must be able to work overtime on short notice as required.
Demonstrates effective communication/interpersonal skills, initiative, motivation and effective use of time.
Excellent attendance.
Meets housekeeping and safety standards.
Ability to lift, push or pull loads up to 35 (or more than 50 pounds) on a routine basis.
Salary Requirements
Non-Exempt Hourly position, eligible for overtime
Paid weekly
Compensation range: $17.00/hr. - $19.00 /hr.P
